MVA offers both public and “bespoke” mine ventilation training courses.
Two training courses are offered to the public:
MVA is the training provider to Simtars (https://www.dnrme.qld.gov.au/simtars/home) for the metalliferous ventilation officer qualification (https://www.dnrme.qld.gov.au/simtars/training
/ventilation-officer-underground-metalliferous )
The Queensland statutory ventilation officer qualification is part of an important strategy developed by the Queensland government to lift the standards of ventilation in underground metalliferous mines. Ventsim (ventilation modelling):
This 2-day course is offered at various locations in Queensland several times each year.

MVA also offers a range of training courses typically conducted at a mine site for a particular mine or client. These courses cover the following areas, with typical durations (which depends on rosters and the English-language skills of the students at the mine):
All MVA training courses are small-class learning workshops (4 to 8 participants). Course materials are updated regularly, usually at least annually. Each course includes software analysis tools, comprehensive notes and extensive support materials on flash drive.
